It's not often that you can get something for virtually nothing, but that's what the iStore is offering - one free Macbook Air a week for six weeks, and a grand prize of a R250 000 travel voucher. All you need to do is go to any iStore, and spend about two minutes filling in your details on an iPad Mini (there will be someone to guide you through the process). Once you've entered the World of Possibilities promotion, you could win a Macbook Air or a R250 000 voucher, plus if you buy an iPad Mini, you'll get an extra 20 entries.

iStore iPad mini competition

The iStore is running a blogger challenge in conjunction with this campaign and they've invited 10 bloggers from all areas to take part. One of us gets to win a R20 000 travel voucher, and we need your likes. You’ll need to click here to vote via the iStore Facebook tab and the blogger with the most likes will win. If you like my post on their page, here's what you can get: - Weekly prizes, starting off with J'Adore fragrance from Dior - A guaranteed iPad or iPad Mini (it's your choice) if I win the R20 000, courtesy of me. So even if I don't win, you can still win! Also, I'm the only mom blogger in the blogger lineup. And I believe there isn't a vocal force quite like the moms and dads. So if not for me, or a weekly prize, then at least for the sisterhood of moms? (and the brotherhood of dads). The iStore gave me an iPad Mini to see how it opened up a world of possibilities for me, and write about it. And since I'm always nattering on about how I love my iDevices, and writing each week about great apps, this wasn't a difficult exercise. It was almost like praising a well-behaved child. And this "child" has opened up the following possibilities: - I can now carry it in my handbag, keeping my hands free for my phone, pulling or carrying my toddler and carrying about five other things too (for example wipes, a bottle, a toy, car keys, and a half-eaten fruit). - I can read my Kindle books on the iPad Mini without hurting my arms (petty, I know. But after a day of lugging around my toddler, my arms need a break) - Reading blog posts on the go - I can take pictures with it without feeling clumsy (it could be mistaken for a smartphone) - I can now use the cute Hello Kitty iPad Mini cover that I've just ordered online - I haven't been able to find a Hello Kitty cover for the iPad 3. (again, a trivial opportunity, but a significant one still). - Watch TV shows comfortably and discreetly (ie without my toddler hassling me) - Read articles, trends and insights that interest me on the interwebs - from parenting, to running, to women's health.
